Job description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining new sales opportunities for the International Cold Storage (ICS) One-piece arm of our business. The BDM will support the Food Service and Food Retail Regional Sales Managers and Reps to drive One-piece sales, with a focus to generate direct sales opportunities for chains / roll out opportunities. This role is the primary role to build a pipeline that ultimately drives ICS growth for the organization. The BDM will collaborate with Everidge Marketing to drive the strategy and content and deliverables to generate awareness and leads.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
  • Responsible for growing ICS topline sales revenue via direct sales efforts and collaboration with Everidge Regional Sales Managers + reps.
  • Company expert on ICS product line
  • Develop and expand existing/new business opportunities within new and existing markets.
  • Assist with the development of the annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
  • Develop sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analysis
  • Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain a qualified sales pipeline sufficient to achieve annual revenue and growth objectives, including prospect identification, opportunity qualification, sales stage progression, forecasting, and follow-up.
  • Identify and prioritize target markets, customer segments, and verticals for ICS One-piece growth
  • Develop and maintain a strategic target-account list for business development
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and customer needs that can be addressed through ICS products and solutions.
  • Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand ICS's customer base
  • Meet with key decision makers, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Research and develop leads to potential customers, making regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry trends & government regulations
  • Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of customers and intercompany personnel
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to drive sales opportunities

Preferred Qualifications & Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University;
  • Outside sales experience required
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering new sales.
