LJB is seeking a high-performing Business Development Executive (BDE) to drive growth within targeted markets, with a primary focus on our safety practice. This is a senior, quota-carrying role for a consultative business development professional who thrives in technically complex environments, builds executive-level relationships, and translates client challenges into measurable business outcomes.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of winning and expanding large enterprise accounts and converting those relationships into multi-million-dollar partnerships.
Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

What You'll Do
Drive Strategic Sales Growth
  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities through targeted outreach, networking, and strategic account planning
  • Expand relationships within strategic accounts across business units and stakeholders

Lead a Consultative Sales Process
  • Conduct deep discovery to understand client safety, operational, and financial drivers

Manage Complex Sales Cycles
  • Own the full lifecycle-from prospecting through negotiation and close
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder environments across operations, EHS, engineering, finance, procurement, and executive leadership
  • Develop and present technically complex proposals with clear commercial narratives

Build Pipeline & Market Insight
  • Maintain a high-quality pipeline with accurate forecasting and CRM discipline
  • Drive deal velocity by creating urgency tied to client risk and opportunity cost
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to refine positioning

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 4+ years of business development or consultative sales experience in a technical or safety-related environment
  • Demonstrated success selling into large enterprise organizations
  • Strong consultative selling skills (discovery, solution development, negotiation, closing)
  • Ability to influence diverse stakeholders across business and technical functions
  • Technical understanding of safety-related solutions; ability to communicate value beyond products
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and ANSI standards preferred
  • Experience with fall protection solutions strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% (overnight)
