Position Summary
Storti Quality is seeking a highly motivated Business Development & Operations Manager to support the continued expansion of our utility construction and infrastructure services throughout the Northeast. This individual will play a critical role in driving new business opportunities while ensuring successful operational execution of awarded projects.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in the utility contracting industry and understands both the commercial and operational aspects of delivering exceptional service. This position requires someone who can build lasting client relationships, identify new market opportunities, develop strategic growth initiatives, and oversee project execution to ensure safety, quality, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the utility, energy, telecommunications, and infrastructure markets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with utility companies, municipalities, engineering firms, and general contractors.
  • Generating and qualify leads through networking, industry events, referrals, and strategic outreach.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, pricing, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop regional growth strategies and market expansion plans.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and upcoming project opportunities.

Operations Leadership
  • Provide operational oversight for projects throughout the Northeast region.
  • Partner with project managers and field leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Monitor project performance, financial results, staffing needs, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to review project performance and identify future opportunities.
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly while maintaining strong long-term partnerships.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service that leads to repeat business and referrals.

Qualifications
Required
  • 7+ years of experience within the utility construction, utility services, or infrastructure industry.
  • Proven experience in business development, operations management, or regional leadership.
  • Strong understanding of utility operations, construction processes, and project management.
  • Demonstrated success developing customer relationships and growing revenue.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the Northeast.

Preferred
  • Experience supporting electric, gas, water, or telecommunications utility projects.
  • Existing relationships with utilities, municipalities, engineering firms, or infrastructure clients in the Northeast.
