Job description

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Work with supplier representative to create annual business plan. Create and implement brand focus plan objectives to include company and supplier goals of volume, profit, distribution, display, promotions and marketing expense.
  2. Analyze available data sources and utilize data to drive improved performance within the sales teams and the retail trade.
  3. Work with supplier and sales teams on a consistent basis to ensure Focus plans are executed, achieved and training is performed.
  4. Work with and assist category management team to ensure brand objectives are met through the category management reset process.
  5. Actively participate in all sales meetings, promotional events and training sessions relevant to brand management.
  6. Serve as a primary conduit between retailers, field sales and senior management for all market intelligence.
  7. Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team-orientated relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, retailers and others you come into contact with through your job.
  8. Manage inventory including brand forecasts as well as inventory expense versus budget.
  9. Market survey (MVP) program execution according to company standards.
  10. Maintain a high level of industry knowledge for beer and non-alcoholic beverages including education, Nielsen's, market share, trade journals, etc.
  11. Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations.
  12. Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate department staff.
  13. Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned.
  14. Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company's Core Values at all times.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • High School diploma or GED required

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance required
  • Sales Fundamental, Certified Sales Professional (CSP) and trade math training required upon hiring

Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) year previous sales experience
  • Minimum one (1) year industry specific experience

Knowledge/Skill:

  • General knowledge of industry products
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with an AS400 system
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Ability to build presentations and develop business reviews
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrate flexibility in overcoming problems and personalities
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Demonstrate ability to focus and work cross functionally across many levels of organization

Physical Requirements:

1. Lift, carry, push, pull up to 165 lbs.

2. Use arms, wrists, hands, grasp

3. Must be proficient in the use of industry tools including hand truck, six wheeler, manual pallet jack, box cutter etc.
