Job description

Commerce Media Business Development Manager

Company Overview

Join a dynamic team that's redefining consumer data analytics. We empower top investment firms and global consumer and corporate brands with cutting-edge insights into consumer spending, leveraging privacy-compliant data across geographies. Our real-time intelligence and merchant-level benchmarks give clients a competitive edge-and you'll be at the forefront of it all.

Role Summary

Consumer Edge is building out its Commerce Media practice and looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth across this product line. This role sits at the intersection of transaction data, retail media, and advertising measurement, selling into brands, agencies, retailers, and ad-tech platforms that need to understand what's actually happening at the register and how it connects to media performance.

This is a hunter role. You'll own the full sales cycle, build your own pipeline, and serve as the internal subject matter expert on commerce media for the broader sales team.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle for Commerce Media data solutions, from prospecting through close, with quota responsibility.
  • Build and manage a robust outbound pipeline using LinkedIn, Clay, Outreach, Salesforce, industry events, and your existing network.
  • Serve as the go-to commerce media SME for other sellers at CE, running education sessions, building playbooks, and helping the broader team get fluent in the space.
  • Lead consultative conversations around measurement, attribution, audience insights, market share, and consumer spend. Translate data into decisions clients can act on.
  • Develop trusted relationships with media teams, programmatic leads, analytics buyers, and strategy groups at agencies and brands.
  • Partner with product, research, and customer success to ensure what we're selling aligns with what clients actually need.
  • Maintain clean pipeline hygiene in Salesforce and forecast your book of business.

We're looking for someone with

  • 6+ years in enterprise sales, business development, or partnerships, within alternative data, ad-tech, retail media, market research, or analytics.
  • Direct experience selling audience, measurement, or programmatic solutions, especially into agencies or brands.
  • Real familiarity with the commerce media ecosystem: media networks, DSPs, closed-loop measurement, consumer purchase behavior.
  • Comfortable running complex, multi-stakeholder sales and engaging both business and technical buyers.
  • Strong pipeline discipline: you build it, you manage it, you close it.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Why Join Consumer Edge

We offer a competitive salary, an extensive benefits package including 401(k) match, paid parental leave, flexible and generous time off, work-from-home flexibility, and a vibrant work environment conducive to professional growth and innovation. Join our team and play a significant role in driving data-driven decision-making, shaping the future of global consumer insights.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $160,000 - $200,000, plus commissions.  Full-year, on target OTE of $300,000 - $350,000.  Benefits include company equity, 401(k) matching, subsidized health benefits, and flexible remote work.
