Job Summary/Description:
WMBF-TV is seeking an organized, highly motivated, and creative professional to lead our digital and broadcast sales efforts in the role of Multimedia Sales Manager. This position works in tandem with the Director of Sales (DOS) on the development of our account executive team and on strategic revenue development for the station, specifically championing digital sales platforms, local direct business development, and integrated marketing solutions.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Business Development: Drive and maximize local direct and digital revenue growth through aggressive business development strategies.
* Team Leadership & Training: Coach, mentor, and inspire the sales team. Provide regular training on digital products, marketing trends, and consultative sales techniques for developing small businesses and local advertising agencies.
* Client Collaboration: Assist Media Executives in preparing, presenting, and closing customized multimedia marketing campaigns for key local advertisers.
* Sales Forecasting: Partner with the DOS to accurately forecast individual and team performance against local broadcast, digital, and new direct revenue budgets.
* Collateral & Materials: Develop and update sales presentations, collateral, and marketing materials utilizing current station and market research.
* Campaign Delivery & Analysis: Oversee the digital support team to ensure accurate campaign tracking, optimization, delivery, and post-campaign reporting to guarantee advertiser success and retention.
* Strategic Partnerships: Act as a market expert on digital and broadcast advertising platforms, building long-term, consultative relationships with local business owners.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of prior success in broadcast television and digital sales is required.
* Leadership: Prior success in sales management, coaching, or team leadership experience is highly preferred.
* Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with broadcast and core station digital and extension product advertising solutions (programmatic, OTT/CTV, social media, SEM/SEO, email marketing), CRM/sales planning software, high-level proficiency with MS Office applications.
* Communication: Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently present to C-level local executives.
* License: Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
* Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
