Job description

Expression is seeking a Capture Manager to join our team in the DC metro area. The Capture Manager is responsible for leading and managing the capture efforts for high-value opportunities within our organization. This role involves developing and executing capture strategies, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and driving the proposal process to secure new business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex capture efforts, a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, and the ability to build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Capture Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive capture strategies for assigned opportunities.
  • Identify and analyze customer requirements, competitive landscape, and market trends to inform strategy.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

Opportunity Management:

  • Lead the capture process from initial identification through contract award.
  • Conduct win/loss analyses to refine capture strategies and improve future performance.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals and bids.

Team Leadership and Coordination:

  • Assemble and manage capture teams, including proposal managers, subject matter experts, and business development professionals.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings, progress reviews, and strategy sessions.

Client Engagement:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Secret clearance or ability to obtain a Secret clearance or above.
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in capture management, business development, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful captures and proposals.
  • Strong understanding of the proposal lifecycle, including capture planning, proposal development, and submission.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in capture management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and government contracting (if applicable).
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute long-term strategies for capturing business opportunities.
  • Relationship Building: Skill in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing market data, competitive intelligence, and customer needs.

This role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $125,000 to $150,000, depending on location and travel requirements, with total on-target earnings (OTE) up to $240,000. OTE includes performance-based incentives aligned with capture success and revenue growth objectives.
