Senior Business Development Manager - Animal Health CMO (Greenfield Role)

Salary - $190,000 - $210,000 + competitive bonus structure
Overview
A global animal-health manufacturing organisation is creating a Senior Business Development Manager position to drive new contract manufacturing partnerships across veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal-health products.
This is a greenfield commercial role, focused on identifying and securing new CMO partnerships with veterinary pharmaceutical companies, animal-health innovators, and product developers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building a pipeline of strategic manufacturing opportunities and closing high-value, long-cycle deals typically ranging from $3M-$20M+.
This role will suit a true hunter-profile business development leader with experience selling CMO/CDMO manufacturing services into the veterinary pharmaceutical market.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and execute a North American business development strategy for animal-health CMO services
  • Identify, develop, and close new manufacturing partnerships
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations and long-cycle sales processes
  • Manage opportunities from early technical discussions through contract execution
  • Develop relationships with veterinary pharmaceutical companies and animal-health innovators
  • Work cross-functionally with technical, regulatory, and operations teams to support proposals
  • Represent the organisation at industry events and customer meetings
  • Build and manage a robust greenfield pipeline

Requirements
  • 8-15+ years business development experience
