Business Development & Marketing Assistant | Earth Engineering

EARTH ENGINEERING INC

Houston, TX โ€ข On-site

$16 - $22/hr

Full-time

Job description

Earth Engineering is looking for an organized, outgoing, and motivated Business Development Coordinator to work directly with company leadership in supporting our business development efforts. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

This isn't a traditional marketing position. You won't spend your day managing social media or designing brochures. Instead, you'll work directly with our Director of Business Development to organize client information, research prospective clients, coordinate networking efforts, maintain our client database, and help ensure no opportunity falls through the cracks.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys organization, communication, technology, and building relationships.

What You'll Do
  • Research developers, architects, contractors, municipalities, and engineers.
  • Build and organize our client database.
  • Make outbound calls to introduce our company and schedule meetings.
  • Coordinate follow-up after networking events and client meetings.
  • Organize contact information and business development activities.
  • Track opportunities, meetings, and marketing efforts.
  • Coordinate conferences, lunches, and networking events.
  • Assist with proposals, qualifications packages (SOQs), presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Help improve the technology and systems behind our business development efforts.
  • Perform other marketing and administrative duties as needed.
Who We're Looking For

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating systems, staying organized, and helping others succeed.

You'll likely enjoy this role if you are:

  • Friendly, outgoing, and professional.
  • Comfortable making phone calls and meeting new people.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Curious, proactive, and resourceful.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Interested in building processes instead of simply following them.

If you prefer highly repetitive work with a fixed daily routine, this probably isn't the right fit.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with business development, client relations, marketing coordination, or professional services is a plus.
  • Experience in engineering, construction, architecture, commercial real estate, or consulting is a plus.
