NORMAN’S, the premiere, and fastest growing employee-owned Hallmark Gold Crown retailer in the East, is seeking a qualified Assistant Store Manager for our location at Prices Corner, Wilmington, Delaware. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Our retail teams are driven to reach store goals while delivering a memorable genuine experience to each of our customers. Our Assistant Store Managers helps contribute to providing this ‘caring team’ atmosphere not only for our customers but for the sales leaders and associates that work with them. The caring experience within the store begins with the management team. We expect our Assistant Store Managers to show initiative, be a team player, collaborate with their store manager to deliver to their store’s sales & customer service objectives while helping support all operational aspects of their store in an efficient and seamless manner.

Assistant Store Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Infuse our Customer CARE program into the culture of the store in which you lead by example to drive retail sales by genuinely connecting with the customer, building relationships, and earning her business.
  • Belief that the customer always comes first and is the most important individual to our business.
  • Assist Store Manager at efficiently managing the general operations of the store including, but not limited to event planning, shipment processing and merchandising, seamless orders, promotion management, etc.
  • Assist manager in developing and training staff of new products and processes.
  • Command a professional and unbiased leadership style, especially in absence of the store manager.
  • Ability to learn and be efficient with our point-of-sale software system to ensure accuracy with inventory, sales, and markdowns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED, equivalent or higher.
  • Retail Supervisory Experience: 1 year or more.
  • Customer Service Experience: 1 year or more.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Ability to continuously stand/walk; frequently push/pull; occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/kneel; climb a ladder, and carry up to 40 pounds, e.g., fixture parts and cartons.
