Position Title: CATMAN Analyst Walmart
Location of Job: San Juan, Puerto Rico - Hybrid working scheme 
Language: Business English
ROLE OVERVIEW

Responsible for supporting category growth by developing data-driven category insights, space and assortment recommendations, and analytical tools that translate category insights into actionable plans

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Top 5 Core Responsibilities / Outcomes Expected     

  1. Develop category insights and recommendations by analyzing sales, shopper and space performance to support category growth objectives. .
  2. Create and maintain  planograms and space strategies aligned with category roles, shopper behaviors, and customer strategies.
  3. Generate reports, dashboards and insights to support customer presentations, category reviews, and commercial decision-making.
  4. Support customer-specific category initiatives including assortment optimization, shelving strategies, and seasonal programs...
  5. Ensure data accuracy and analytical rigor across category databases , tools and deliverables.

Other Applicable Scope Defining Dimensions    

          

  • Analytical support role within the Category Management function.
  • Direct interaction with Category Management Coordinator, Trade Marketing and Marketing Team.
  • Responsible for Chocolate, confectionary and seasonal portfolio..
  • No P&L Ownership; accountability for insight quality and execution support.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities  

  • Strong understanding of Category Management principles, and shopper-centric principles.
  • Knowledge of space planning and planogram development tools (JDA, Space Planning or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skill
  • Advanced excel and PowerPoint capabilities; experience with databases and reporting tools.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Bilingual communication skills (English and Spanish).
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Experience & Education      

      

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in Category Management, Sales Analytics, Trade Marketing or related roles.
  • Experience in CPG/FMCG and Chocolate/Confection preferred.
  • Exposure to retailer category reviews, planograms and shopper analysis.
