About the Team:
The Lead Business Analyst is a key role in a dynamic team of product managers, software engineers, quality assurance managers, and business experts. The Imaging Lead Business Analyst supports a suite of products supporting medical imaging collection and/or analysis for clinical trials and in the healthcare space. The Lead Business Analyst works closely with multidisciplinary teams to continue to enhance the capabilities of the Medidata Imaging offerings.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a broad range of users to identify and document the business processes and requirements; create user stories and acceptance criteria to support the development and integration of business systems.
Engage with IT partners to ensure business needs are correctly translated to support processes and systems changes with high quality results.
Manage the activities of other project resources by delegating assignments, following up on progress and reporting status.
Understand Quality Assurance processes and be able to define acceptance criteria to ensure solution/design meets business requirements.
Ability to influence management to adopt enhancements in business processes or technology to increase optimal business performance.
Experience working in complex systems architecture that integrates with multiple systems, understanding both the technical and functional aspects and ensuring that systems are integrated efficiently.
Keep up with best practices and other related industries that could be incorporated into our technological roadmap.
Understand networks, databases, object models and workflows in order to make key business decisions.
Be able to accurately forecast and plan work using Agile methodology; monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of software releases; this includes but is not limited to managing scope and dependencies.
Effectively train end-users and maintain up-to-date documentation on system procedures.
Define essential elements of product and solution roadmaps
Your Competencies:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills sufficient to present to C-suite level executives
Expert analysis and problem solving skills to take on highly complex, interdependent problems at an enterprise level
Detail-oriented planning and organization skills across multiple projects and organizations
Expertise using tools used for client presentations, collaboration with other teams, requirements management, workflow definition, product issue management, and testing requirements. (for example, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Google Docs, Vizio, Lucidchart, Jira, Cucumber, GitHub, Bugzilla, Rally)
Understanding of regulations related to data used in clinical trials
Experience with medical imaging
Your Education & Experience:
4 year college degree
4+ years experience with progressively greater responsibility for business analysis at technology or pharmaceutical companies, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated expert competency leading and developing product documentation of features and functions for multiple software projects of various sizes and complexity
Thought-leader and active contributor to industry discussion forums for software development or clinical research and clinical trial data topics
4+ years experience working with teams using a defined software development methodology including in-depth experience working with agile development on multiple projects, or equivalent experience
As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region.
The salary range for positions nationally will be $102,750- $137,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses. Salary Pay Transparency
Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $102750 and $137000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
