Description

The IT Business Analyst III (Contractor) supports Red Classic Transportation as a member of an IT delivery team focused on TMS implementation, EDI modernization, and integration delivery across 3PL operations and private fleet logistics. This role prioritizes transportation system experience, integration analysis, EDI transaction understanding, data mapping, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable technology requirements, designs, workflows, interface specifications, and testing deliverables. The role will work closely with business partners, IT teammates, vendors, architects, developers, EDI/integration teams, and implementation partners throughout the lifecycle, from discovery and solution design through integration testing, user acceptance, deployment readiness, and production support transition.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in a high-visibility transportation technology transformation at Red Classic. Key Responsibilities

•Partner with Red Classic business stakeholders, IT teammates, vendors, and implementation partners to understand transportation processes, pain points, priorities, and desired outcomes.

•Analyze, document, and refine business requirements, functional requirements, process flows, gaps, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.

•Translate business needs into clear, actionable technology requirements that guide configuration, integration, reporting, testing, and downstream system impacts.

•Support scope refinement by distinguishing current-state processes, future-state needs, implementation priorities, dependencies, and out-of-scope items.

•Review end-to-end transportation workflows and confirm that documented requirements align to operational, financial, reporting, and exception-handling needs.

•Partner with business and technical teams to define interface requirements, data expectations, transformation logic, and business meaning for information exchanged across systems.
