Job description

DATTCO has an opening for a Shop Foreman for our School Bus Fleet Maintenance facility in South Windsor, CT.

  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the maintenance shop
  • OSHA compliance
  • Supervise technicians and maintenance personnel
  • Work in coordination with school bus operations
  • Maintain good customer relations
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with DATTCOs policies and procedures and all applicable laws
  • Ability to train, coach and develop staff
  • Position Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years vehicle maintenance supervisory experience, transportation experience preferred.
  • Must be able to create teamwork environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving techniques in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management and customers.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Windows.

  • Experience with school bus, motor coach and truck repair.
