What is a bus driver pension?

A bus driver pension is a retirement benefit plan specifically designed for individuals who work as bus drivers, often offered by public transit agencies or private bus companies. These pensions typically provide a monthly income after retirement, based on years of service, salary history, and the specific rules of the pension plan. The goal is to offer financial security to bus drivers after they finish their careers. Eligibility, vesting periods, and benefit amounts can vary widely depending on the employer and location.
