Job description

Use your experience as a groundskeeper at a world-class Arnold Palmer designed golf course to maintain the condition and appearance of our beautiful resort. You will be a member a team of groundskeepers and lanscape artists that will ensure the greens, sand pits, bunkers, fairways and tees are maintained for optimum playing during our peak season.
Golf Groundskeeper
General Responsibilities:
  • Operate equipment including, power mowers and string trimmers to maintain putting greens, bunkers, fairways, and tees.
  • Fill divots and edge bunkers and cart paths.
  • Set tee markers and cups on greens as directed; sand and seed tee and drop area divots.
  • Rake and maintains sand bunkers.
  • Assist with spraying weeds, fertilizing, trimming trees, hauling debris, shop cleaning and construction projects as needed.
  • Water tees, greens and fairways; operate irrigation heads as needed.
  • Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
  • Debris removal from grounds.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Keep work area neat and organized.
  • Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
  • Maintains safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by theRunning Y Properties Employee Handbook.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Prior golf course grounds keeping experience preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experienced in landscaping related experience is required.
  • Mechanical aptitude; knowledge of maintenance tools.
  • Familiarity with golf.
  • Possession of government required licenses or certificates.
  • Ability to:
    • Work with minimal supervision.
    • Communicate effectively.
    • Work as part of a team.
    • Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions.
    • Work well under pressure.
    • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
