Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Job Summary
The Parish Bulletin Editor is responsibile for the preparation, editing, and timely submission of the weekly parish bulletin. This role ensures that parish communications are clear, accurate, visually consistnet, and reflective of the mission and life of the Catholic parish. The bulletin Editor collaborates with parish staff and ministry leaders to gather content and present it in a professional and engaging format. Work will be completed on-site, depending on parish needs.
Job Responsibilities
Bulletin Production
  • Compile, edit, and format the weely parish bulletin
  • Ensure all content is accurate, proofread, and submitted by publication deadlines
  • Coordinate with the parish's bulletin publisher service
  • Maintain consistency in layout, style, and branding

Content Coordination
  • Gather announcements, event information, and ministry updates from parish staff and leaders
  • Edit submissions for clarity, grammar, and appropriateness
  • Prioritize content based on importance and available space
  • Ensure inclusion of required parish information (Mass times, contact info, etc.)

Communication & Collaboration
  • Maintain regular communication with parish staff regarding bulletin deadlines and submissions
  • Provide reminders and guidance to ministry leaders on submitting content
  • Collaborate with parish leadership to highlight key initiatives and events

Digital & Print Distribution
  • Submit final bulletin files to publisher on schedule
  • Coordinate posting of the bulletin to the parish website
  • Maintain an archive of past bulletins

Mission Integration
  • Ensure bulletin content reflects the mission, teachings, and life of the Catholic Church
  • Promote parish events, ministries, and opportunities for faith formation and service
  • Maintain a tone that is welcoming, clear, and pastorally appropriate
