Job description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Fills totes, drums, and pails with correct product weight
  • Make correct container labels
  • Knowledge of correct valves and blenders
  • Properly receive incoming bulk liquid loads
  • Dump sugar totes and bags to make sucrose
  • Complete blend sheets
  • Timely communication with department supervisor concerning bulk liquid production
  • Load and unload tank trucks and jockey trailers
  • Maintain a good working relationship with co-workers
  • Assist in making bulk blends as required
  • Operate company equipment (forklifts, high lifts, yard trucks, etc.) according to our safety regulations
  • Clean filters and work area
  • Responsible for maintaining quality, authentic, safe, and legal products.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience (Licenses and Certifications):

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food production facility, warehouse, or shipping environment is desirable

Equipment to Be Used:

  • Forklift, hi-lift, and all equipment related to blending

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in food production
  • Ability to perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.

Essential Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 55 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb.

Typical Mental Demands:

  • Ability to work under stress with interruptions and deadlines
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Ability to master basic math skills
  • Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions

Operating Principles:

Employees are expected to work in a manner consistent with Golden Barrel Products, Zook Ag. and ZMC Logistics Operating Principles: specifically work and act as a team player in all interactions with other company employee’s; provide a high level of customer service at all times; project and maintain a positive image with those contacted in the course of work; develop and maintain collaborative and respectful working relationships with co-workers and others; consistently provide quality service.

Working Hours:

  • Standard working hours for 1st shift are: 7am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday and as necessary to complete the requirements of the position
  • Overtime may be required and hours are subject to change based on company needs
  • Employees are required to clock in 10 minutes before the beginning of the shift
