Job Title: Bulk Driver – Class A Cryogenic Tractor Trailer Driver

Reports to Distribution Manager

Location: Albany, NY

Hourly Non-Exempt: $35.00 - $40.00 commensurate with experience


Position Summary

Noble Gas Solutions, LLC (the company) is seeking a skilled and dependable Class A Bulk Driver to deliver cryogenic liquefied gases to our growing customer base. This critical role ensures the safe, timely, and professional delivery of essential gases while upholding DOT and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Couple and uncouple tractor-trailer units.
  • Connect and disconnect transfer hoses, ensuring proper handling of cryogenic tanks, hoses, and fittings.
  • Monitor pressure and temperature levels during delivery to ensure safe unloading.
  • Strictly follow all safety procedures for loading, unloading, and handling cryogenic gases.
  • Complete and maintain all required DOT Hours of Service (HOS) logs and delivery paperwork accurately.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
  • Operate over the road as needed, including weekends and holidays.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery and service.
  • Safely operate and maintain a tractor-trailer (GVW over 26,000 lbs).
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with vendors to ensure timely service.
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of Noble’s operations to support company growth.
  • CDL drivers are required to comply with all applicable regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)."
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Driver Requirements and Qualifications

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
  • Clean driving record – no moving violations or DUI/DWI convictions in the past 7 years.
  • Valid DOT medical certificate.
  • Certificate from an accredited driving school and successful completion of Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) program.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and hazardous material handling.
  • Ability to operate hazardous cargo vehicles for extended periods (8+ hours/day).
  • Ability to deliver cylinders and other compressed gases as needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Skilled in maneuvering and parking large tractor-trailers.
  • Strong focus, attention to detail, and safety awareness.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing conditions.
  • Ability to stay composed under pressure with strong stress management skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions during trailer drop and hook operations.
  • Must be flexible to changes in route schedules with short notice.
  • Expected to work a minimum of 8 hours per day, with additional hours as needed to complete deliveries.

Safety Requirements

  • Immediately report any safety hazards to the safety department or management.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures of Noble and its customers.
  • Report all accidents or injuries in a timely manner.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Refuse and report any unsafe tasks or conditions.
  • Actively participate in safety meetings and required training.
  • Maintain constant awareness of personal and team safety.


Physical Demands

  • Must be able to drive, stand, and sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to speak, hear, smell, and lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions during trailer drop and hook operations.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Standard workdays are at least 8 hours, with additional hours as required to complete deliveries.

Education, Experience & Certification

Certificate from an accredited driving school and completion of Entry Level Driver Training program preferred.

Work Authorization

Eligibility to work in the U.S. with the appropriate work authorization documentation.
