Job description

Federated Co-ops, Inc. has an opening for a Bulk Transport Driver to work out of our Ogilvie Bulk location. As the Bulk Transport Driver, you will be responsible for transporting bulk energy and Ag products to various locations across our trade territory including various Federated Co-ops business operation sites and/or to our customer worksite locations. You will work as a core team member to support various routes and products while ensuring high-quality, customer-focused service is completed in an efficient and safe manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Bulk Transport Driver include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Essential duties include driving, operating, and maintaining transport vehicles and associated equipment to deliver products with a focus on safety.
  • Delivery of product involves loading Bulk Transport Trailers at Terminal locations and delivering and unloading into company or customers storage tanks in accordance to company, division, and location policy and procedures.
  • Employee will drive and operate tractor trailers, various tanker equipment, pumping equipment, various types of bulk trucks and tools, safely and efficiently by following all D.O.T. regulations, company policies, manufactures instructions, State and local laws and codes, and any other applicable laws, codes, or regulations.
  • Grow the business by providing excellent service and assisting the Sales Department with calls and potential sales target areas.
  • Inspect and maintain the bulk facility, transport trucks, trailers, and equipment continuously to ensure cleanliness, safety, proper operation, and positive cooperative image.
  • Provide required inspection and routine maintenance as needed.
  • Documents all work as required by the company, division, and location policy.
  • Provide seasonal support to various company locations as needed.

Experience and Certifications:
  • Valid Class A Commercial drivers license with proper endorsements
  • Valid health card
  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are required
  • Knowledge of FMCSA Regulations and State and local laws as they pertain to Commercial Vehicle Operation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required licenses and endorsements - Required
  • 3 years previous Transport experience required
  • Hours of Service logging experience required
  • Strong customer focus and service thinking.
  • Strong route flexibility and teamwork centered work behaviors.
  • Ability to work overtime when needed.
  • May require occasional overnight stays

This job requires driving in heavy traffic, in rural areas and in bad weather at times. This job requires working in extreme cold and in extreme warm weather.
The wage range for this position is $26 - $32/hour. The actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
