Job Summary:

Under close supervision, this position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of buildings or areas. Duties include picking up trash, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning and restocking bathrooms, cleaning windows and executing minor repairs and maintenance work. Depending on the job, Custodians may be required to operate industrial cleaning equipment and machinery. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior and exterior of the building looking clean and professional

  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned

  • Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by the facility management team

  • Adhere to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment for everyone

  • Help maintain user manuals for cleaning equipment, office furniture and fixtures that can be referred to when needed Respond to general assembly and repair requests quickly and with a professional manner

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualification:

  • Minimum 17 years of age and a high school diploma or GED, or currently enrolled in a high school program in good standing, or one to two years general building maintenance experience; ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed.. Preferred Qualification: High School Diploma with 1-2 years of janitorial/building maintenance experience

The expected starting pay range for this position: $16.00 - $17.63

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
