Job description

Requirements and Description
ERMC is seeking a General Technician.
The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
• Assist electrical, HVAC, and plumbing technicians
• Be able to perform scheduled and non-scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
• Monitor HVAC airflow and distribution in Terminals
• Change HVAC filters
• Maintain, repair, and replace electrical motors
• Maintain, repair, and replace water and hydraulic pumps
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues that may arise
• Ensure the proper use of all tools for cutting, bending, and welding of equipment
• Carryout detailed evaluation of equipment to ensure they are in good condition for proper use
• Carryout repairs on ceilings, floors, and walls by combining plaster of spackle and painting
• Inspect equipment such as refrigerators and air conditioners from time to time for proper cleaning, speed, temperature, and adequate lubrication
• Repair and change locks in the building and perform complex lock servicing to ensure maximum safety of all people
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of electricity, carpentry, and plumbing among other technical skills.
• Excellent ability to communicate system problems to both co-workers and management for proper understanding
• Exhibit good mechanical skills to handle equipment to avoid causing injuries to self and others on the ground.
• Can evaluate computer-related work orders following accuracy.
• Provide all basic hand tools.
Applicants may qualify by a combination of history and knowledge of the above-noted systems.
Standard qualifications:
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Completing
• Must possess a Government ID and social security card.
• Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge.
• Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
• Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces
• Able to receive appropriate security clearances after completing a criminal background check.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
