Maintenance Technician (Manufactured Home Community)

Must have property and/or building maintenance experience.

Summary of Position

We are looking for a hardworking, eager Maintenance Technician to join our team. Primary responsibilities include painting, home remodeling, minor plumbing, electrical work and landscaping etc. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals with a wide variety of skill sets. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines and take pride in the standards and services they deliver to our residents

INTERNAL REPORTING RELATIONSHIP(S)

Community Manager

POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS

ยท Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary

ยท Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality ยท Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed

ยท Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)

ยท Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide

ยท Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned

ยท Keeping grounds and landscaping in tip-top shape

ยท Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed

ยท Mowing, weed eating and hedge trimming (also includes performing preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching.

Positive attitude and willingness to lead and work as part of a team

Strong work ethic and organizational skills

Puts high value on doing a good job and self-supervisory skills.

ยท Basic understanding of plumbing and other systems

ยท Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods

ยท Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices

ยท Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIRED

ยท High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

ยท Building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus

ยท Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired

ยท Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
