This role focuses on maintaining and updating the physical environment of the facilities. The core responsibilities include installing and maintaining equipment on forklifts and yard trucks, as well as ensuring all facility equipment remains in optimal working condition. The role also involves assisting with the movement of heavy equipment to accommodate new technological updates. Additionally, the position requires troubleshooting and repairing issues related to bathrooms, plumbing, walls, doors, and door closers. The role includes painting walls, performing floor stripping, and assembling office furniture as needed. At the end of each day, the employee is responsible for sending a detailed passdown email summarizing the day's accomplishments and any discrepancies or unresolved issues. The role also involves inspecting outdoor lighting systems and reporting any issues in the passdown.

Role Purpose:

Responsible for the general maintenance of the building and facilities including water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical maintenance.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain HVAC system.
  • Do minor maintenance as needed for water and electrical repairs.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance programs.
  • Provide maintenance to material handling equipment to ensure service reliability.
  • Perform maintenance or general carpentry on items such as floors, walls, doors, etc.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order.
  • Complete required reports when maintenance tasks are completed.
  • Answer security/alarm calls as needed.

Required Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years of previous facility maintenance experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
