Building Connected information

What is Building Connected?

Building Connected is a cloud-based platform that streamlines the preconstruction process in the construction industry. It connects general contractors, subcontractors, and owners to manage bidding, qualification, and risk. The platform helps users find and invite the right partners, track project opportunities, and ensure efficient collaboration. Building Connected is widely used for bid management, networking, and streamlining communication between construction professionals.

How does a Building Connected professional typically collaborate with project stakeholders throughout the construction process?

A Building Connected professional plays a vital role in facilitating communication and collaboration among general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers during all phases of a construction project. They use specialized software to manage bid invitations, track project milestones, and ensure all parties are aligned on timelines and requirements. Regular coordination meetings and real-time updates help streamline workflows, minimize misunderstandings, and address potential issues proactively. Effective collaboration is essential for delivering projects on time and within budget.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a construction project manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Construction Project Manager, you need expertise in project planning, budgeting, and contract management, typically supported by a degree in construction management or a related field. Familiarity with project management software such as Procore, Autodesk, or BuildingConnected, as well as certifications like PMP or OSHA, is highly valuable. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills help manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders. These abilities ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required safety and quality standards.

MSX has been a trusted partner to leading vehicle manufacturers, their retailers, and mobility organizations globally for more than 30 years. Our unwavering commitment is to help our clients transform their businesses and effectively manage operations in the areas of: Sales Performance; Repair Optimization and Compliance; Parts and Accessories Sales Performance; and Consumer Engagement. With our global teams, industry expertise, and the power of technology, we design and deliver tailored, sustainable, and innovative solutions and services that help our clients optimize their operations and captivate their customers.
Job Description
Connected Services Field Coach
Drive Success. Build Relationships. Transform Dealership Performance.
Are you passionate about technology, coaching, and helping others succeed? As a Connected Services Field Coach, you'll serve as a trusted advisor and performance partner for assigned dealerships, helping teams maximize their connected services potential. Through hands-on coaching, strategic consulting, and data-driven insights, you'll empower dealership personnel with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to effectively sell, activate, and support connected vehicle services.
In this highly visible role, you'll collaborate with dealership leadership, client field representatives, and program teams to drive measurable results, improve customer experiences, and create sustainable dealership processes that lead to long-term success.
What You'll Do
Coaching & Development
  • Deliver engaging, high-impact coaching sessions focused on connected services sales, activation, and customer support.
  • Partner closely with dealership leadership teams to establish and optimize connected services processes within their stores.
  • Train dealership personnel on effective utilization of the Dealer Rewards Portal, including one-time pay (OTP) sales opportunities and free trial activations.
  • Lead Monthly Performance Reviews with client Zone Teams, showcasing successes, identifying opportunities, and sharing best practices that align dealership and organizational goals.

Consulting & Support
  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual dealership visits to provide ongoing support, guidance, and performance coaching.
  • Analyze dealership performance metrics to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and recommend actionable strategies that increase activation rates and OTP sales.
  • Coach dealership teams on proven sales and customer engagement techniques that drive connected services success.
  • Collaborate with client field representatives to ensure coaching initiatives support regional business objectives and priorities.

Performance Management
  • Monitor dealership progress toward activation and sales goals.
  • Develop customized action plans that address performance gaps and accelerate results.
  • Provide regular updates to program leadership on dealership performance, challenges, achievements, and growth opportunities.

Communication & Collaboration
  • Build strong relationships and maintain open communication with dealership personnel, client field representatives, and program stakeholders.
  • Participate in business reviews and strategy discussions to provide field insights and performance updates.
  • Share success stories, best practices, and lessons learned with fellow coaches to strengthen overall program effectiveness.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Collect dealership feedback to enhance coaching content, resources, and program processes.
  • Stay current on evolving connected vehicle technologies and connected services offerings.
  • Continuously seek new ways to improve dealership engagement, adoption, and overall performance.

What Makes You Successful
  • Exceptional coaching, training, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • A passion for helping teams achieve their goals and exceed expectations.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently in the field.
  • Adaptable and energized by working in fast-paced, technology-driven environments.

Why You'll Love This Role
This is more than a coaching position. It's an opportunity to be a strategic partner, trusted consultant, and change champion who directly impacts dealership performance and customer engagement. If you enjoy building relationships, solving challenges, leveraging technology, and celebrating measurable results, you'll thrive as a Connected Services Field Coach.
Make an impact. Inspire performance. Drive connected success.
Main Improvements Made
  • Added an engaging opening to attract candidates.
  • Focused on impact and career purpose rather than only tasks.
  • Reorganized responsibilities into easier-to-read sections.
  • Enhanced tone with action-oriented language that appeals to high-performing candidates.
  • Included a "Why You'll Love This Role" section to increase candidate engagement and interest.

Qualifications
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
