Job description

An industry leading multi-disciplinary team is looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer for their Grand Rapids team!



Responsibilities:

  • Project/client management
  • Prepare project documentation including proposals and administering project contracts
  • Supervise staff or perform the following:
  • Develop/execute a project specific commissioning plan (design review, system installation verification, and functional testing)
  • Develop spreadsheet analyses/written reports
  • Perform field assessments and on-site commissioning activities
  • Perform functional testing of building systems (MEP/control systems)
  • Complete USGBC LEED commissioning tasks/credit completion
  • Use energy simulation software to perform building energy/resource use analysis
  • Ensure QA/QC standards are met by reviewing work prepared by others
  • Perform working planning/management of the commissioning process to the available hours in the work plan
  • Attend meetings with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and other professionals
  • Assist with business development


Requirements:

  • BS in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of building commissioning experience
  • PE preferred
  • BCxP, CCP, CxA, or CBCP certification
  • Experience in Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects preferred
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
    Strong knowledge of MEP/FP building systems design/construction processes, building automation systems, and test and balance process/procedures
  • LEED AP with specialty preferred


Salary is commensurate with experience.
