What you will do:

  • Lead the controls engineer team for building deployment and manage the day-to-day tasks
  • Ensure the team meets and improve established building deployment efficiency and identification of performance metrics.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve communication issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the team follows established procedures, policies, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Manage critical and/or escalated client situations and BBAI internal deployment issue.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to development teams.
  • Manage the team's schedule and do technical support
  • Coach team members provide them with continuous feedback and evaluate their performance.
  • Manage the daily hand over meeting with different delivery teams.
  • Responsible for training of new team members on tools, systems, and procedures.

  • Responsible for the troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning BMS & HVAC control systems and devices
  • Improve company tools, templates, and processes related to energy consumption analysis and building performance analysis
  • Evaluate and understand HVAC mechanical plans and wiring diagrams
  • Provide training and follow-up training on HVAC system controls to customers
  • Identify, adopt and develop AI-Drive tools and automation solutions to streamline, improve processes and workload management to drive operational efficiency
  • Document work processes and procedures

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in building or mechanical engineering, or a technical degree in a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of professional experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, and building performance optimization, including commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to manage different prioritization schemes while balancing competing business goals.
  • Prior leadership or team lead experience, preferably in controls engineering, building automation, or AI-enabled building technologies.
  • Demonstrated success managing escalations, resolving complex technical issues, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members through continuous feedback and performance evaluation.
  • Experience delivering training to internal teams and customers on HVAC controls, tools, and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing process improvements, identifying inefficiencies, and deploying automation or AI-driven tools to streamline operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead meetings, present insights, and engage confidently with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting DDC, PLC, and other BAS control platforms (e.g., JCI, Siemens, Honeywell, Delta, Niagara, Schneider/TAC).
  • Deep technical expertise in BAS platforms, HVAC system design, control sequences, and building operations.
  • Hands-on experience with BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks communication protocols, including diagnosing integration and communication issues.
  • Experience with proprietary controls platforms is a plus (JCI, Siemens, Honeywell, Alerton, Delta, Niagara, Schneider/TAC, etc.).
  • Strong energy management and building performance analysis skills.
  • Proficient in reading and analyzing trend logs to extract actionable insights and produce clear reports.
  • Familiarity with Python programming language.
