Job Details

We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced BAS Project Manager to join our dynamic team in San Jose, CA. This role is pivotal to driving the successful execution of Building Automation Systems (BAS) projects and expanding our growing controls department. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, manage complex project lifecycles from concept to completion, and serve as a key liaison between clients, partners, and internal divisions. Your work will directly influence financial performance, client satisfaction, and the strategic growth of our automation offerings. From estimating and selling projects to overseeing procurement and resource allocation, you’ll be at the center of every critical decision, ensuring precision, efficiency, and excellence in every delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Lead BAS project teams to achieve departmental and organizational goals, including financial targets
  • Proactively identify and escalation project issues to ensure timely resolution
  • Estimate and sell BAS construction projects and change orders, using market data to set competitive yet attractive ranges
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, aligning solutions with their energy, water, and operational goals
  • Oversee procurement of materials and allocation of manpower for assigned BAS projects, optimizing cost and schedule
  • Manage projects through the entire lifecycle, from concept to completion, while coordinating schedules with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands–on experience in Building Automation Systems
  • Experience with Automated Logic Controls, Tridium Niagara, and/or Distech Controls strongly preferred
  • Proven leadership and analytical skills with a track record of delivering complex projects
  • Strong time management capabilities, able to juggle multiple client relationships and project priorities
  • Practical knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical controls, boilers, chillers, and overall building automation
  • 3+ years of experience in energy management, building commissioning, and/or system diagnostics and troubleshooting
