Job Requirements
Your primary responsibilities will include utilizing computer estimating systems and related software to accurately estimate plan/spec and design/build HVAC systems. You'll be tasked with maintaining comprehensive estimating logs and unit costs for all projects, while also establishing and nurturing vendor relationships crucial to project success. Conducting site surveys and participating in pre-bid walkthroughs will be part of your routine to ensure thorough project understanding. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with sales and project management teams, ensuring projects are executed within budget and in alignment with plans and specifications.
Work Experience
  • Associate's degree in business or engineering.
  • 2-5 years of estimating experience in the HVAC industry with a proven track record is required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and other construction documents.
  • Knowledge of different types of HVAC systems and their components.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of related trades for the purposes of coordinating various project estimates.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and proficient computer skills.
