Role Summary / Overview

Join a leading organization in the smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings industry. Weโ€™re focused on delivering high-performance building solutions through innovative HVAC controls and advanced Building Automation Systems (BAS). We promote a collaborative culture where your expertise, voice, and ideas matter.

As an HVAC Sales Executive, you will drive sales of commercial HVAC controls and BAS solutions to mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, designers, and general contractors throughout the Chicagoland market.

You will be responsible for building relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping customers improve building performance, efficiency, and reliability through smart technology.

Responsibilities

Proactively sell HVAC controls and smart building solutions with confidence and minimal supervision

Identify, target, and engage new customers aligned with market strategy

Present technical and financial value propositions to engineers, contractors, and building owners

Manage a full sales cycle: prospecting โ†’ estimating โ†’ proposal โ†’ close

Build strong, long-term relationships with construction community stakeholders

Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for customer needs

Ensure customer satisfaction and support through coordination with internal partners

Understand customer operational and environmental objectives

Provide insight on BAS design, controls strategies, and solution architecture

Ensure solutions meet project and performance requirements

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 yearsโ€™ experience selling Commercial HVAC Controls

Experience selling to engineers, mechanical contractors, or general contractors

Strong understanding of Building Automation System (BAS) design and/or sales

Excellent communication, initiative, and relationship-building skills

Ability to manage a consultative, technical sales cycle

Experienced BAS or HVAC controls sellers

Strong hunters with solid Chicagoland industry connections

Individuals who thrive in flexible, customer-facing environments

Strategic communicators who understand both technical and business needs

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar technical field)

5+ years of sales experience in the construction industry

5+ years selling HVAC mechanical equipment and/or BAS solutions

Proven track record of generating and closing new business
