Marsh is seeking candidates for a Client Advisor in our Marine in Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland or San Francisco.
In this client-facing role, you will develop an understanding of clients' business strategic priorities, risk strategies, and risk management needs to provide knowledge and advice to complex clients. You will help identify the need for new products and develop innovative solutions while building and maintaining relationships with clients.
We will count on you to:
  • Acts as lead advisory colleague on a complex books of business.
  • Develops renewal/placement strategies and executes in accordance with client instructions.
  • Analyzes quotes from carriers and provides analysis to clients to assist with developing solutions and renewals.
  • Supports in reaching business goals and RFP's through research and document preparation to support and assist the design, development, and marketing of new insurance and risk products.
  • Manages follow-up on coverage changes with underwriters to ensure the coverage specifications are correct.
  • Contributes to the firm's collective knowledge base by proactively sharing market and industry insights internally, serving as a trusted resource for colleagues, and maintaining deep awareness of evolving risk and insurance market conditions
  • Contributes to client retention through effective risk solutions and excellence in service.
  • Leads the development and maintenance of strategic client and market relationships at the appropriate levels to ensure effective oversight and execution of the client program, including active leadership in stewardship meetings and coordination with key stakeholders.
What you need to have:
  • 5+ years of industry experience, with a focus on Marine (Hull, Liabilities, P&I and Builders Risk) or Cargo/Stock Throughput.
  • P&C license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $120,500 to $256,700.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
