POSITION SUMMARY
 
McCarthy is seeking a developmentally minded, client-focused individual to join its Risk Management team. The Insurance Analyst is responsible for managing compliance of subcontractor, designer, consultant and supplier certificates of insurance. This position is highly visible and will be exposed to various aspects of Risk Management, Legal, Insurance, and Construction Operations that occur for a wide range of commercial and industrial projects spanning the country.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage subcontractor insurance compliance throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Identify insurance requirements contained within executed contracts.
  • Clearly communicate insurance requirements to McCarthy project teams, subcontractors, and brokers.
  • Review subcontractor certificates of insurance and policy endorsements for compliance.
  • Maintain accurate data and current document status of certificates of insurance within McCarthy’s Risk Management Information System.
  • Support McCarthy project teams, subcontractors and external brokers with questions related to subcontractor insurance requirements and resolving complex coverage issues.
  • Report on subcontractor/project compliance.
  • Reinforce compliance with McCarthy policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training related to McCarthy’s certificate of insurance management process.
  • Build and maintain relationships with McCarthy project teams, subcontractors, and brokers.
  • Stay current on construction industry insurance topics related to General Liability, Auto Liability, Workers Compensation, Pollution Liability and Professional Liability coverages.
      QUALIFICATIONS
      • 2-3 years experience in similar role for a Contractor, Broker, or Insurance Company.
      • Four-year degree in related field preferred.
      • Knowledge of General Liability, Auto Liability, Workers Compensation, Pollution Liability and Professional Liability coverage preferred.
      • Knowledge of Additional Insured and Waiver of Subrogation endorsements preferred.
      • Experience within the construction industry / understanding of construction industry insurance products and terminology preferred.
      • Insurance designations, i.e. CPCU, ARM, CRIS a plus.
      • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, multitask and meet critical deadlines with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
      • Strong initiative and able to self-manage.
      • Must be team-focused and provide exceptional client experiences to internal and external customers.
      • Strong computer skills and ability to demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Risk Management Information Systems.
