Job Overview: 

Rex Moore is seeking an experienced Energy Marshal. This position will be working directly with other project level functional lead to ensure compliance with energy isolation, lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols, and safety standards during construction, commissioning, and operation on the jobsite. This is a key position in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects from start to finish. This position requires an extended period of time at our onsite location

Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks:

  • Collaborate with management to develop, prepare, and implement energy isolation protocols.
  • Assist the Electrical Superintendents in the development and review of Method of Procedure (MOP) and critical activity plans.
  • Working knowledge of injury prevention, compliance, and risk reduction techniques.
  • As directed, conduct energy isolation safety training for supervisors & field employees.
  • Ability to interact with project stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for learning, goal-oriented mindset for continual growth, with a “Can-Do” positive attitude.
  • Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.

Compensation:  

Rex Moore pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee’s knowledge, experience and skill level.   

Work environment:  

Work is performed in an office environment.  This position may be required to travel to other office locations. 

LOCATION:  

Rex Moore and affiliated offices are located throughout California and Nevada.  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 3-5 years energy marshal experience on other Data Center Sites.
  • 10+ years’ safety experience in a construction setting.
  • CSP or CHST certification with minimum of OSHA 30.
  • Electrical trade experience required.
  • Must possess OSHA 30 construction certificate valid within 5 years.
  • Knowledge of state and federal safety regulations as applied to construction and general industry.
  • First Aid, CPR & AED certifications.
  • Electrical safety-NFPA 70E, Excavation, fall protection and confined space certified.
  • Self-driven, willing to work alone or as part of a team on assigned tasks and initiatives.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel as needed.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to physically perform the duties and functions of the position.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:  

  • Ability to verbally communicate: convey detailed and accurate instructions and information.
  • Ability to hear with or without correction in order to receive and interpret detailed information.
  • Required to sit at a desk work station for long and short periods of time.
  • Push, pull, lift and carry at least 10 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to walk and stand.
  • Required to have visual acuity with or without correction in order to read and interpret contract information and view information on a computer monitor.
  • Required to use fingers and hands: type using a computer keyboard, handle, feel, and reach.
  • May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
