Job description

Job Summary

The Builder Sales Representative will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the revenue goals of the Residential Fireplace/Outdoor Living Division of Dealers Wholesale by effectively growing, managing, guiding new construction sales activities, and helping manage projects to completion. As a company, we are relationship-driven, and the Builder Sales Representative will be a vital contributor to developing and maintaining builder relationships with and throughout our organization. The right person for this role will be experienced, energetic, and goal-oriented with a focus on selling, promoting, and championing the Dealers Wholesale breadth of products to end users, commercial, residential, and retail client base. Our offerings include but are not limited to fireplaces, outdoor kitchens/grills, fireplace surrounds/mantles, and firepits/burner tables. The individual is expected to exhibit the core values of the company - to be accountable, relationship-driven, solutions-focused, and striving for excellence. This position reports to the General Manager of the Residential Division.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with builders to generate overall sales in excess of $3 million dollars in first year of employment in all categories, including but not limited to: fireplaces, outdoor kitchens/grills, fireplace surrounds/mantles, and firepits/burner tables.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with an assigned customer base, including key accounts, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Monitor sales trends and product performance results.
  • Maintain excellent customer service through all interactions.
  • Continually enhance sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.
  • Work with other internal departments to ensure great customer service from the order to the installation and beyond throughout the entirety of projects.
  • Review architectural drawings and specifications to be able to best assist with builder needs.
  • Document all aspects of any given project through contracts, change orders, sales orders, purchase orders, order acknowledgements, submittals, emails and/or other forms of correspondence.
  • Be Solutions-Focused; as complex problems arise, find a way to best serve the customer and resolve these issues in a timely manner.
  • Continually nurture relationships through constant client communication, including phone, email, and jobsite visits.
  • Determine realistic but efficient project schedules and deadlines and adequately adhere to these dates.
  • Work to stay within budget while providing material within the project scope.
  • Attend local tradeshows to continue to network and promote the Dealers Wholesale brand.

  • 2+ years of sales experience

Total Rewards

  • Salary Range: $45,000-$49,000 plus earned commission
