The Opportunity:
CACI has will have an opening for an Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Ocean Engineer to support engineering and planning efforts for Submarine Rescue and Mobility platforms at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) in Kittery, Maine.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, create and review Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions (TGIs)
  • Assist with other Deficiency Form problems and preparing Sales Costs estimates.
  • Support of 688 Class and 774 Class Submarine engineering and Deep Submergence projects

Qualifications:
Required
  • Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Ocean engineering degree from an ABET Accredited College/University (other degree disciplines may be considered)
  • 10 years' experience with submarine and/or deep submergence systems
  • Knowledge of US Navy Shipyard applications including AIM
  • Professional engineering experience performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress etc.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and experience with MS Office suite of products.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.

Desired:
  • Related submarine / submersible experience with design, maintenance, operations, repair and/or testing
  • Electrical power background (NSTM 300)
  • Familiarity with Military Specifications, ANSI and ASME standards
  • Experience with configuration management and document control
  • Ability to achieve excellence working individually or as part of a team

This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available. Individuals who apply may also be considered for other positions at CACI.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$94,800 - $199,100
