Job description

About the Company

Company Founded in 2018 by CPAs, tax attorneys, and software developers, Taxbit is creating an entirely new category to enable widespread compliant adoption of digital assets for the global economy. Taxbit’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform streamlines and automates customers’ tax reporting and accounting activities for digital assets. Trusted by leading crypto, tech, and traditional enterprises, Big 4 accounting firms, and government agencies (including the IRS), Taxbit solves compliance challenges at scale amidst an ever‑evolving regulatory landscape. Taxbit is backed by leading Silicon Valley VCs with teams located in New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Europe.

Role Overview

Taxbit is seeking a Principal Product Marketing Manager to own the narrative for the essential compliance layer that bridges the gap between digital assets and regulatory reality. From enterprise tax reporting (CARF, 1099s) to government investigations, you will define how the market understands our value. You will report to the VP of Product and partner closely with our world‑class team of Tax SMEs, Product Managers, and Engineering leaders to synthesize intricate schemas, APIs, and regulations into a unified market vision. You will act as the bridge between our internal expertise and our external audience, ensuring that as we scale our multi‑persona platform, our value proposition remains sharp, consistent, and impossible to ignore.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Own the Launch Strategy: Orchestrate the end‑to‑end go‑to‑market process for new products and features, define launch tiers, set internal timelines, and hold the pen on core messaging that ensures our innovation lands with impact.
  • Architect the Sales Narrative: Collaborate with sales enablement and Marketing to empower GTM with cohesive messaging; produce the "Launch Toolkit" required to win (core pitch deck, battle card, and demo script).
  • Translate Technical & Regulatory Complexity: Partner with Tax SMEs, PMs, and Engineering to develop deep fluency in our platform, translating "inputs" (APIs, regulatory updates, data schemas) into benefit‑focused narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Drive Continuous Engagement: Own ongoing product communication—including authoring release notes and customer updates—ensuring our users constantly see the value we are shipping.
  • Market & Persona Intelligence: Be the expert on our buyers (from Government Investigators to Enterprise CFOs), understand their specific pain points, and align roadmap and messaging with their reality.
  • Note: Your role is to build the foundational story and assets that allow Sales to scale, not to handle continuous slide maintenance or bespoke deal modifications.
Professional Qualifications
  • 10+ years of total relevant experience in Product Marketing or related functions, with a strong track record in Enterprise B2B SaaS.
  • Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to grasp and message complex multi‑persona B2B platforms and developer‑facing solutions (SDKs/APIs).
  • Strategic Influence: Proven experience working directly with executive leadership to drive alignment on strategy and positioning.
  • Regulated Markets: Experience working in regtech, a regulated space, or an industry with high compliance requirements.
Nice to Have
  • Direct experience creating GTM strategies specifically for developer‑facing solutions or API products.
  • Background in Tax, RegTech, Finance, Fintech, or the Crypto/Web3 ecosystem.
Personal Characteristics
  • Technically Fearless: Thrive on complexity, not intimidated by technical documentation, tax codes, or regulatory nuance; see them as puzzles to simplify for the market.
  • The "Strategic Doer": High‑level strategist who can define vision yet is also an individual contributor eager to write copy, build decks, and get the job done.
  • Alignment Builder: Lead through influence, not authority; bring diverse stakeholders (Product, Sales, Leadership) together to move everyone in the same direction.
  • Curious & Adaptable: Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change; proactively seek new information to stay ahead of market shifts and product evolutions.
Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $180,000–$210,000 USD. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. Actual compensation will vary depending on various job‑related factors, including, but not limited to location, experience, level, and job qualifications.

  • Competitive cash compensation (based on experience)
  • Equity (RSUs)
  • Competitive benefits package
  • A modern 401(k) plan that includes access to crypto, financial wellness benefits, low fees and more
  • Hybrid working model: 3 days in‑office, 2 days WFH/flexible Monday team lunches, snacks and drinks
  • Discretionary Time Off
  • Paid parental leave to bond with your child
  • Fertility Benefit
  • Autonomous work and flexibility in how work is performed
