Construction Superintendent โ€“ Healthcare & Commercial Field Operations


Job Overview

Company: Brascia Builders, Inc.

Salary/Pay Rate: $110,000 to $160,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus

Location: West Los Angeles / San Fernando Valley, CA, with travel to active Southern California project sites

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday

Project Scope: Healthcare, Commercial, Education, Entertainment / Venue, and Select Public Works

Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None required


The Opportunity

Brascia Builders, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for complex healthcare, commercial, education, and occupied-facility projects throughout Southern California.


This role is ideal for a hands-on field leader who understands how to coordinate subcontractors, maintain site safety, manage inspections, solve constructability issues, and keep work moving in active environments where logistics, phasing, infection control, and client operations matter.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Lead daily field operations from mobilization through punch list and closeout.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field crews, deliveries, inspections, and site logistics.
  • Maintain short-interval schedules and weekly field updates to keep milestones on track.
  • Enforce jobsite safety standards, infection control requirements, dust control, and facility protection protocols.
  • Coordinate inspections with city officials, HCAI / OSHPD representatives when applicable, third-party inspectors, and project stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve constructability issues, sequencing conflicts, and field coordination challenges.
  • Communicate clearly with Project Managers, Project Engineers, owners, architects, inspectors, and subcontractors.
  • Support work in occupied facilities where minimizing disruption to patients, staff, students, guests, or active business operations is critical.
  • Document daily progress, field issues, manpower, inspections, and site conditions using company systems.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 6+ years of commercial construction field supervision experience.
  • Strong understanding of building sequencing, subcontractor coordination, site logistics, safety, and quality control.
  • Experience supervising multi-trade commercial construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and technical project documents.
  • Strong communication skills with subcontractors, inspectors, project teams, and client representatives.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability and a self-starter mindset.
  • Willingness to travel to active Southern California jobsites as needed.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Healthcare construction experience in California.
  • HCAI / OSHPD experience or familiarity.
  • Experience working in occupied healthcare facilities, active campuses, public works environments, or operational commercial buildings.
  • Experience with infection control, dust control, shutdowns, access planning, phasing, and operational continuity.
  • Experience with imaging rooms, technical infrastructure, shielded rooms, seismic upgrades, or hospital renovations.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Superintendent or field supervisory role.
  • OSHA training or related safety certifications.
  • Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction technology experience.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
