Buffet attendants are hospitality workers responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of buffet food areas in restaurants, hotels, or event venues. Their duties typically include replenishing food items, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met, assisting guests with questions, and sometimes helping with setup and breakdown of the buffet. Effective time management and strong communication with kitchen staff are essential to keep the buffet running smoothly. Additionally, being attentive to guest needs and monitoring food temperatures help prevent waste and ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.

How much does a buffet worker make?

Buffet workers typically earn an hourly wage that ranges from minimum wage to around $12-$15 per hour, depending on location and experience. Some may receive tips, which can increase overall earnings, and the job often requires good customer service skills and the ability to work flexible hours.
