Job description

Job Summary:

The Manager, Manufacturing will manage all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure smooth workflow, meeting production targets, and adhering to budget goals.

Core Duties

  • Create and execute manufacturing strategies and action plans that align with the overall company objectives, focusing on operational efficiency and quality improvement.
  • Effectively manage resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity and reduce costs.
  • Ensure that production complies with established quality control specifications and standards, conducting regular inspections and audits. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, quality control, and logistics, to enhance performance and output.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and operational efficiency.
  • Implement safety guidelines and ensure compliance with legal and corporate safety standards, fostering a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Monitor operational performance, analyze production metrics, and report findings to senior management, suggesting improvements as necessary.
  • Follow company Standard Operating Procedures and actively contribute to maintaining and improving the company's business management system.
  • Ensure processes remain current and effective while working with accuracy, speed, and urgency to deliver results that support company objectives and customer expectations.
  • Other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • A BSE in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Five+ years of related work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing best practices and lean manufacturing principles. Proven experience in managing manufacturing operations and leading teams
  • Maintain work areas in a neat, organized and uncluttered state.
  • Excellent organizational and record keeping skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Perform all activities in compliance with company safety policies and practices.
  • Organized neat and clean work habits
  • Lifting requirements ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Desired Qualifications

  • Tape, film or other converting industry experience
  • Knowledge of converting, coating, and laminating processes
