Position Summary

iRepertoire is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Project Manager to coordinate complex scientific projects across laboratory operations, bioinformatics, customer-facing teams, and internal stakeholders.

The Project Manager will serve as the operational bridge between customers, laboratory teams, computational scientists, business development, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered accurately, on schedule, and with exceptional customer communication.

This role requires strong organizational skills, comfort operating in a fast-paced biotechnology environment, and the ability to manage multiple scientific projects simultaneously.

The ideal candidate enjoys creating structure from complexity, proactively identifying risks, and driving execution without excessive oversight.

ResponsibilitiesProject Execution & Coordination

  • Manage end-to-end customer project timelines from project initiation through data delivery
  • Coordinate activities across laboratory operations, bioinformatics, quality systems, and customer-facing teams
  • Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings and internal status updates
  • Maintain project documentation and customer records
  • Ensure project scope changes are appropriately documented and communicated
  • Identify bottlenecks and proactively escalate issues requiring resolution

Customer Communication

  • Serve as a primary operational point of contact for assigned customer projects
  • Coordinate technical follow-up between scientific teams and customers
  • Provide project status updates and timeline communication
  • Support customer meetings and documentation requirements
  • Ensure customer expectations remain aligned with project execution

Operational Excellence

  • Develop and improve project management processes and workflows
  • Support implementation and optimization of operational systems (e.g., CRM, ticketing systems, project tracking platforms)
  • Monitor project metrics and delivery performance
  • Help establish scalable operational processes as the company grows
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across departments

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with laboratory scientists, bioinformatics teams, business development, and leadership
  • Coordinate priorities across multiple stakeholders
  • Help balance scientific quality, timelines, and customer expectations
  • Assist in resource planning and project prioritization

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, biotechnology, life sciences, biomedical sciences, or related scientific discipline
  • 1–5+ years of project management, operations, laboratory coordination, or biotechnology industry experience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with project management and operational software platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams

Preferred

  • Experience working in biotechnology, genomics, sequencing, diagnostics, CRO, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments
  • Familiarity with NGS workflows, sequencing operations, molecular biology, or bioinformatics environments
  • Experience with CRM and operational systems (e.g., HubSpot, Jira, laboratory operational platforms)
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training
  • Experience supporting scientific or technical customer projects
