Job description

The Humane Society of Broward County (HSBC), a leader in animal welfare and humane education, is hiring an Accounting Coordinator. If you are interested in applying your bookkeeping and/or accounting skills to work for a worthy cause and to make a difference in the local community, this is the job for you!

The Accounting Coordinator position is responsible for processing deposits, procurement, monthly reconciliations, and other accounting functions.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting with all of the above.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of accounting software systems
  • Education: A.S. degree in accounting or business, accounting certification, or working towards a bachelor's degree in accounting or business preferred
  • Has a general understanding of accounting and bookkeeping concepts
  • Has a friendly/outgoing manner.

This is a 40-hour, on-site position Monday through Friday.
