Our newly renovated, 353-bed skilled nursing facility offers spacious private and semi-private rooms, several outdoor patios and dining areas to provide our residents with a comfortable setting within which to recover and live forward. We are currently seeking a RN Unit Manager for Neuro Psych Unit to welcome. If you are looking for a diverse position as part of a creative, hardworking team where you will make a difference, we want to hear from you!

Nurse Unit managers are responsible for the overall operation of their respective unit. Duties include:

  • Make rounds on the unit to observe and report patients’ symptoms, reactions and progress and supervise subordinate staff.
  • Consult with staff to assess patients’ condition and direct or dispense appropriate care using established nursing diagnoses and protocols to promote, maintain and restore health.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with staff and other shifts for unit efficiency.
  • Maintain professional relationships with families.
  • Assess safety of all patients and provide for remedial action.
  • Obtain orders when needed and evaluate need for adjustment.
  • Carefully check Doctor’s orders.
  • Ensure policies are carried out as per professional management criteria.
  • Ensure nursing techniques are performed according to accepted professional practice and the procedures employed at institution.
  • Monitor the proper utilization of proper equipment and supplies.
  • Obtain clarification of physician orders and report of assessment of patients’ condition.
