Brookside Rehab & Nursing Center

Now Hiring: Full-Time Maintenance Assistant/Floor Tech

Brookside Rehab & Nursing Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This position focuses primarily on floor care and painting to help maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform floor care duties including stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing floors

  • Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively

  • Paint resident rooms, hallways, common areas, and other facility spaces

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including patching, sanding, and cleaning

  • Complete touch-up painting and cosmetic repairs as needed

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Assist with general facility maintenance projects as assigned

  • Follow all safety, infection control, and facility policies

  • Help ensure the facility maintains a welcoming appearance for residents and visitors

Qualifications:
  • Previous floor care and/or painting experience preferred

  • Experience operating floor machines is a plus

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

  • Experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is helpful but not required
