Job description

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Interventional Radiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women's health. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:
  • Perform a wide range of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures using fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct pre-procedure consultations and post-procedure follow-ups to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Operate and manage advanced imaging equipment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Participate in emergency interventional procedures, as needed.
  • Provide expert consultation on complex cases.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and case discussions.
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
  • Supervise and train Residents and Fellows, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology.
  • Completion of an Interventional Radiology Fellowship.
  • Active New York State Medical License.
Wages and Benefits Include:

Annual Base Salary: $520,250* (with completion of a Fellowship) based on a 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $726,250** (with completion of a Fellowship), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $130,000.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
  • Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
    • Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
  • Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
  • Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
