Job description

NEP Group is a world leader in live and broadcast production services, supporting premier events across sports, entertainment, and live events. Our teams design and deliver cutting-edge technical solutions that bring content to audiences worldwide. Within NEP, the TFC team plays a critical role in orchestrating complex multi-platform workflows, ensuring seamless integration between technology, operations, and clients.

NEP is currently looking for a Solutions Architect to join our team in the US to support shaping, designing, and documenting technical solutions for NEP’s TFC platform. This internal-facing role focuses on creating scalable, consistent, and technically sound architectures that align with the platform strategy, product roadmap, and delivery frameworks.
Working under the guidance of the VP, this role helps drive platform standardization, reusable designs, and high-quality internal technical documentation. The architect does not engage directly with clients or regional business units, but instead enables efficient global delivery through strong collaboration with the VP and internal product and engineering teams.

What You'll Do:
  • Partner closely with the VP to develop technical solution designs based on high-level client requirements and business objectives.

  • Create and maintain reference architectures, reusable templates, and design blueprints to support global delivery consistency.

  • Support the VP in preparing technical contributions for RFIs, RFPs, and internal documentation packages.

  • Participate in internal pre-sales planning and technical discovery activities by providing input to the VP on scalable approaches, risks, and technology considerations.

  • Help translate high-level business needs into clear, actionable architecture recommendations for internal teams.

  • Document integration approaches and interface requirements for use by internal engineering and implementation teams.

  • Contribute to internal post-project reviews to support continual refinement of solution design processes.

What You'll Need:
  • 5+ years in solutions architecture, systems integration, or platform engineering within media, broadcast, or enterprise technology environments.

  • Demonstrated experience with SMPTE ST 2110-based IP media workflows, including familiarity with PTP timing (ST 2059), NMOS (IS-04/IS-05), and redundancy standards such as ST 2022-7.

  • Understanding of IP networking for broadcast environments, including multicast, QoS, and high-bandwidth media transport.

  • Strong grasp of cloud architectures, system interoperability, and scalable design practices.

  • Ability to translate complex requirements into structured, documented solution blueprints.

  • Solid understanding of video/audio workflows, IP-based infrastructure, and orchestration platforms.

  • Experience in broadcast platform architecture (e.g., control systems, IP infrastructure, automation) preferred.

You might not know our name, but you’ve probably seen our work – on stage, on screen or on the field. Our technology solutions and unique Global Production Ecosystem empower content creators and rights holders to tell their stories in breakthrough ways. We’ve supported some of the world’s most watched productions and live events in sports, entertainment, concerts, festivals, film, TV and more.
