We are seeking a Sensory Technician to support quality and sensory evaluation activities in a manufacturing laboratory environment. This role is responsible for aseptic sample collection, sensory testing preparation, data recording, and quality assurance testing. The ideal candidate will have laboratory experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation in a fast-paced production setting.
Responsibilities
  • Aseptically collect samples from production lines.
  • Prepare samples for sensory panel evaluations.
  • Record, maintain, and organize sensory data to ensure audit readiness.
  • Perform HPLC testing on finished products.
  • Conduct analytical testing including Brix, pH, color, density, and other quality parameters.
  • Collect environmental monitoring samples and perform microbiological swabbing of manufacturing equipment and production lines.
  • Collect and test treated water and CIP (Clean-In-Place) water samples.
  • Perform stress testing on packaging materials.
  • Conduct periodic quality inspections of outbound trailers.
  • Perform daily calibration and verification of laboratory instruments.
  • Follow laboratory safety, quality, and regulatory procedures.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field preferred.
  • Manufacturing or food/beverage production experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with HPLC, sensory testing, microbiological sampling, and quality testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Brix, pH, density, color analysis, and laboratory instrument calibration.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Must have steel-toed shoes and safety glasses.
