Location: St. Louis, MO (Primarily local within 100 miles; occasional travel to Springdale, AR)
Schedule: MondayFriday, full-time; on-call rotation every 5 weeks

Position Overview

The Alarm Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining low-voltage systems, including cameras, burglar alarms, access control, and networking. This role requires a mix of technical skill, leadership ability, and job management experience. The ideal candidate has 35 years of experience and the ability to run jobs independently while mentoring others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, program, and troubleshoot:
    • Cameras (required)
    • Burglar alarms (Honeywell preferred)
    • Access control systems (Honeywell, Brivo preferred)
  • Run, terminate, and test data lines; perform network programming.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and job plans.
  • Manage jobs from start to finish, including leading small teams.
  • Provide clear communication with project managers and clients.
  • Participate in on-call rotation (one week every 5 weeks).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications

  • 35 years of professional experience with low-voltage systems.
  • Strong camera troubleshooting skills.
  • Burglar alarm experience required; Honeywell preferred.
  • Access control experience preferred (Honeywell, Brivo).
  • Networking experience preferred (data line work, network programming).
  • Ability to run jobs independently and lead others.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Depending on experience, a company van may be provided.

Work Schedule

  • Local work within 100 miles of St. Louis.
  • Occasional travel to Springdale, AR, or other locations (minimal).
  • MondayFriday, standard hours 7:00-3:30 p.m. hours flex within business needs; on-call once every 5 weeks.
