With over 1,000 dedicated personnel, KBR delivers not only vital life support services like water treatment, electricity, and telecom maintenance, but also enhances quality of life through Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) programs and an award-winning dining facility. Job Summary Under general supervision, this role is responsible for the performance and outcomes of a specific discipline or sub-group within a function. You will lead the achievement of functional goals by providing direction and support to team members and contribute to shaping functional strategy while possibly overseeing global processes and procedures. This position typically requires an undergraduate degree and over 9 years of relevant experience. Roles and Responsibilities Install, operate, and maintain the ONE-NET network infrastructure, ensuring the security and functionality of classified and unclassified networks in line with the ONE-Net Concept of Operations.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of network missions, particularly the DoD Local Area Networks.
Ensure servers, workstations, peripherals, communication devices, and software are operational and available for customer support.
Enforce ONE-Net security policies for assigned IT systems and networks.
Implement standard operating procedures for Information Assurance (IA) security measures in accordance with ONE-Net policies.
Manage password controls, set permissions, and perform security management tasks.
Coordinate maintenance call-outs with network and support technicians.
Create user accounts based on need-to-know criteria for the ONE-Net domain.
Monitor and respond to Network Monitoring tools, overseeing all servers, routers, and the external link between NCTS Diego Garcia and Ft. Buckner, Okinawa, Japan, as directed.
Ensure timely responses to trouble calls related to the ONE-NET domain and its workstations.
Collaborate with the Theater Network Operations and Security Center (TNOSC) to ensure all ONE-NET servers and workstations are updated and patched per current Navy policy, and maintain antivirus software and software licenses.
Direct software and hardware upgrades (e.g., version upgrades, service packs, patches, antivirus) for the ONE-NET domain as directed by the TNOSC or LNSC Director.
Perform other duties as assigned in line with contractual, functional, and mission requirements.
Basic Qualifications Must be a US Citizen.
Must hold an active DoD secret clearance or be able to obtain this clearance prior to deployment and must maintain such clearance for the duration of employment in this role.
Approximately 10 years of experience in relevant fields, with at least 2 years in a management role.
Experience in a data center environment, particularly in network operations for voice and data, internet infrastructure, and security.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in computer science, information systems, engineering, or business.
Must pass overseas medical screening and maintain good health.
Valid driver’s license from country of origin.
Preferred Qualifications: Special Certifications or Training IAT-2 certification: CISSP (or Associate), CISA, GSE, or SCNA.
