Job description

Resident Services Support

Bridgewater Retirement Community (BRC) | Bridgewater, VA

Do you enjoy helping others and making a meaningful difference each day? Bridgewater Retirement Community is seeking a compassionate, dependable Resident Services Support team member to provide transportation, administrative support, and assistance to our Independent Living residents.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to build relationships with residents while ensuring they arrive safely to appointments, supporting their daily needs, and helping our Resident Services team provide exceptional care and service.

What You'll Do
  • Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments.
  • Assist residents during transportation while ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Serve as a support resource for Independent Living residents.
  • Pick up and deliver medical items as scheduling permits.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Complete monthly inspections of vehicle first aid kits.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Resident Services department.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of donated medical equipment, ensuring it is cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Must live within 30 minutes of Bridgewater Retirement Community.
  • Experience working with older adults preferred.
  • CNA certification preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and push/pull up to 240 pounds.
