Position Summary
Bridgestone Americas Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech 1 for the Wilson, NC facility.
The Tech 1 will provide maintenance support to the operations departments in a highly automated environment. This multi-craft position (mechanical and electrical) will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical industrial equipment for a designated department within the plant. The ideal candidate for Maintenance Tech 1 brings experience in mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and/or a 2 year technical degree, with a desire to grow their skills further.
Pay rate is $30.64/ hour.
Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance (continuous improvement)
- Perform Maintenance and troubleshoot Mechanical and Electrical Industrial equipment
- Perform Quick Repair for Trouble Calls from Operating Technicians
- Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old (on the date the opportunity is posted)
- Receive a passing score on the entry test and/or interview assessment selected by the Company.
Enrolled in a 2-year technical degree (associate of science) in electronics, robotics, general technology or related technical field.

3+ years of experience as maintenance technician in an industrial manufacturing environment.
-or-
Veteran (exiting military) candidate from a highly technical job field with at least 6+ years of active duty service (e.g. US Navy- Nuclear or Aviation field, US Air Force Missile Technicians, etc.).
Assuming that an applicant meets the minimum qualifications listed above, in order to be further considered, the applicant must pass a entrance test taken on a computer.
